As of Monday 25 October, changes in the handling of Corona and vaccination in Orkland Municipality are introduced. In line with the fact that society is opening, and the fact that the Municipality has reduced its efforts with reference to both testing and tracking over the past few weeks, we are, together with the other municipalities, taking one step further in the plan to go back to a more normal everyday life.
This means, among other things, that we are now dismantling the municipal information service and the test tent. We are maintaining our emergency preparedness and are able to relaunch both the test tent and the information service quickly if required.
We have decided that reduced TISK (testing, isolation, tracking and quarantine) will be maintained unchanged until the new Government has made a decision in the beginning of November. Orkland Municipality maintains preparedness to safeguard this obligation.
Covid-19: The following applies as of 25 October
As always, Orkland Municipality acts in accordance with the applicable national orders and guidelines for Covid-19. We have summed up the handling as of Monday in Q&As in the survey below.
What to do if you or your close contacts have been diagnosed with Covid-19
The following flow-chart explains the connections as well as the assessments you must make:
Who does self-tests apply to?
Only persons who have symptoms of respiratory infection (both vaccinated and unvaccinated) and unvaccinated close contacts will receive self-test kits from Orkland municipality. If you do not have symptoms, but nevertheless want a test, you must get your own self-test kit, for example from the chemist’s.
Who do I contact to get self-test kits?
As of Thursday 11 November, the extradition of daytime self-tests on weekdays will take place at Orkland Town Hall at Orkanger, and the municipal houses in Lensvik, Meldal and Krokstadøra. You can no longer contact the doctor's offices for self-tests.
It will still be the home services that take responsibility for the delivery of self-tests at weekends.
This means:
Monday-Friday:
You call the municipality on tel. 72 46 73 00 between 09:00 and 15:00 to arrange the delivery of self-tests. The time of extradition will initially be from 14:30 to 15:00 Monday to Friday. If this does not fit the you, this is agreed when ordering. We ask that you wear a face mask when you pick up a test.
Saturday-Sunday:
If you are close contact of a person who is infected or who has symptoms of respiratory infection, you must call the telephone number for your geographical area (see the survey below) between 12:00 and 14:00. Then you may agree directly how many test kits you require and where to pick them up:
What do I do if I have symptoms and feel so bad that I need attention of a doctor?
Contact your medical office in the business hours. If you are acutely ill and is unable to wait until they open, please contact the emergency unit. Here, testing will normally be done in conjunction with a medical examination by a doctor.
What do I do if I have symptoms but do not feel that I need attention of a doctor?
If this occurs during business hours, you should contact Orkland municipality to get a self-test which you take at home. If it is negative, you should behave as if you would normally when you are sick: Stay at home until the fever has gone and your general condition has improved. In the weekends, you may contact the home care service between 12:00 and 14:00 and make an agreement as to how and when you may receive a test kit. For example: If you are feeling ill on a Saturday but is unable to call before 14:00, then you must wait until Sunday. In this case, it is important that you avoid contact with others in the meantime and until you have taken the test. We want you to test yourself much more often than previously. If the test proves to be positive, you must stay at home and avoid contact with others and book an appointment for a test with your GP.
We are in a time of several different respiratory infections. We want next of kin not to show up with undeclared respiratory infections at our institutions. If you have a cold, wait until you are in better shape. If a visit is strictly necessary due to an acute situation, you can use a face mask. We then want the visit to take place in the rooms of residents and not in common areas.
Vaccination: The following applies as of 25 October
As always, Orkland Municipality acts in accordance with the applicable national orders and guidelines for vaccination. We have summed up the handling as of Monday in Q&As in the survey below.
How and when do you get vaccinated?
Orkland Municipality still vaccinates every Thursday at the Kino- og kulturscenen (the Cinema and culture stage) in Orkanger - this applies both to the first injection, second injection and the boosted injection.
How do I book a vaccine appointment (first injection, second injection and third injection for persons with reduced immune defence)?
Digital booking is reserved for vaccination with the first and second injection, as well as for the third injection for groups of patients with defined reduced immune defence. We emphasize that the system for digital booking is based on trust and requires that the population is updated on the national authorities’ guidelines. FHI emphasizes that the third injection may at the earliest be administered 6 months after the second injection. This is an absolute requirement.
